27 and 28 weeks

Since we were in Shasta I was gone for my 27 week update, so I'll include a little bit of it here.

27 weeks
Hello 3rd trimester!!!
Fat face. I despise the fat face that comes along with being pregnant. It's arrived and I'm sad.
I had 3 nights of absolutely HORRIBLE sleep. Literally like 3 to 4 hours of sleep each night. I don't know if I can totally blame it on pregnancy though, it was the 2 nights before we left for Shasta and our first night there. I get anxious before trips and my mind races so I think I just worked myself up. Plus, I sleep terrible away from home so that made me anxious. Fortunately after those bad nights, I slept fantastic. And that was in a trailer, that moved each time someone else moved a muscle, on a foam pad. So yeah, I must've been tired.
I feel pretty large but good. I can definitely tell the belly is growing at an alarming rate and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried that I have 13 more weeks of a growing belly. But honestly other than that, I feel wonderful. I truly love feeling her kick and squirm in there, she's such a mover and I love it. Ask me when she's a baby if I love her being such a mover ;)
I felt pretty chill this week, probably because we were on vacation so there was very little stress.

28 weeks
I feel great, tired, but otherwise I feel wonderful. I really do love being pregnant. I think being in the sun helped my mood and I like being a little tanner, gives me that glow :)
I had an appointment on Monday and all is well. My belly is measuring 26 weeks, nothing to be alarmed about, my blood pressure was good (106/60), and baby girls heartbeat sounded wonderful, Bria agreed. I gained 5 pounds since my last appointment, I kind of figured since we were in Shasta for a week eating all kinds of crappy goodness.
My body pillow has been absolutely essential for the last few months, including camping. I think it's part of the reason I slept so well, that and earplugs.
I'm at the cereal point in my pregnancy, which means all I want to eat is cereal. When I snack I try to grab fruits and vegetables because I know come meal time I will go right to the cereal shelf in the pantry. I am also obsessed with sourdough bread. Obsessed.
I'm pretty sure she is transverse right now, meaning she lying sideways in my belly. I can feel kicks on my right side and then movement on my left. Right now she punching me square in the middle, by the belly button. She's a character already, I love it.
My neighbor, Stacey, whom I had not met yet came over and offered me a huge bag full of her maternity clothes! Um, sooo sweet. Not only does she have adorable style but we are exactly the same size, short legs and all :) What are the chances? Seriously, this made my entire week. I'm actually excited to pick out clothes from my closet now.

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain: 18 pounds
Maternity clothes? Hellz yes.
Sleep: Pretty good
Best moment of this week: Lying sideways on the couch and feeling her foot kicking me, so precious.
Food cravings: Sourdough toast with butter, yumm
What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy
What I am looking forward to: Going through all the newborn clothes :)
Milestones: 3rd trimester!!!

26 weeks

I can't believe I'm so close to the 3rd trimester, this is going insanely fast now! On one hand I'm glad I'm almost in the 3rd trimester because I feel incredibly large in the belly area...and the ass area if I'm being honest. I'm not complaining about the big boobs though, those have my full permission to grow :)
This week I had a rough day on Monday, it wasn't anything in particular, just a rough day. We had such a fun weekend with the Woods' and going to the parade and staying busy and I think Monday came and there was nothing to do, Bria was cranky and woke up early, and I was feeling physically exhausted. This pregnancy stuff is hard work, and definitely harder the second time around. But fortunately I've been feeling a little better each day. It helps that this little girl is moving all over, I absolutely love feeling her. Even when she stretches wide and it takes my breath away, I still love it. It's fun to watch my belly take on crazy shapes when she is doing all her tumbling exercises in there.
I've been trying really hard to go for walks as often as possible, last week I went 4 of the 6 days and so far this week I've gone twice. I really need to get better, especially since my appetite feels larger than life. I seriously could eat 24/7. Although I do notice that if I'm out and about and busy I don't feel the hunger pains so maybe I'm just eating out of boredom.
I'm focusing on enjoying the simplicity of one child. For example, when we go out, we don't have to pack a diaper bag. I seriously throw a snack in my purse and we're off (the fold-up toilet seat stays in my purse), it's fabulous. We haven't changed a diaper in 6 months, we don't get up every hour at night, and we don't deal with unstoppable crying episodes (just tantrums ;). So yeah, we are taking it all in and soaking it up. Soon going to the store real quick will take me 2 hours and some meltdowns so I need to enjoy the simplicity of it now.
I didn't sleep quite as well this week as I did last week, but I knew amazing sleep wouldn't last too long. I do hope it comes back often though :)

Here's a comparison picture:

I'm definitely looking bigger this time around, but at least I like my hair better, silver lining people, silver lining.

25 weeks

This week will be known as the excellent sleep week. I've been absolutely exhausted this week and it's evident with my ability to fall asleep before Brian, that is seriously unheard of in this house. But this week, the sleep Gods smiled down on me and showered me with sleep dust. Even though most nights I got up at least once (sometimes twice) to pee, I still slept well. Ahh, precious sleep. I'm enjoying it while I can.
I think we have a middle name picked out which feels great. So now she's all named. I'm so excited about her name, I love it, it's hard not to share it with people but I'm also looking forward to surprising them when she's born.
I've gotten the same annoying arm pit thing going on that I did with Bria. It's a rash of sorts but it doesn't itch or hurt at all, it just looks gross. Sucks since it's summer, I'm going to try hydrocortisone on it since lotion didn't make it go away.
I'm definitely running a little hotter in temperature these days. A few nights this week I woke up sweating even though I only had the sheet on, seriously so happy we have a/c otherwise I wouldn't survive the summer.
My face was clear for a few weeks and it was magical. My chin is starting to break out again but I'm hoping the sunny weather will dry it out and make the zits stop.
Okay I've rambled on long enough.

25 week belly

How far along?
25 weeks
Total weight gain: 14 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes, and I want more :)
Sleep: Really good. I've been exhausted and taking a nap most days plus falling asleep right away at night which is rare for me. It helps that Brian scratches my arm while he reads, it puts me right out.
Best moment of this week: This little girl being super squirmy for two days straight, I LOVED it. Brian got to feel just how squirmy she was one night and he was pretty excited. He's felt her for over a month now but she was really dancing in there and he couldn't believe how much she was moving.
Food cravings: Quaker Granola cereal, yogurt, sourdough toast
What I miss: laying on my belly
What I am looking forward to: Nursery decorating :)
Milestones: Um, it's not really a milestone but I've had fun poking her and then having her poke back. It's our own little game that I love.

24 weeks

This week was kind of exciting because I went multiple nights without getting up to pee, score! Seriously, that was one of the highlights of the week, it was nice to be able to sleep all night. On a more negative note, all my eating has caught up with me this week. I just feel blah and I've definitely gained weight, which sucks because I was doing so well. Not only am I eating crap but I'm not exercising besides the occasional walk. So I really need to get my butt in gear, no more treats in the house and walking is going to become a top priority.
I've felt her a lot this week and I just love it, it seriously never gets old. At my appointment last Friday the doctor did an internal u/s to make sure the cervix is looking good (since I had that spotting a few weeks ago) and it's nice and long fortunately. We also saw a little foot so she's still breech. But of course the doctor was not worried at all and said 75% of babies are head down by 32 weeks, so she has plenty of time to flip.

I couldn't get a good belly shot this week since I did it myself with the timer.
But this picture cracks me up :)

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain: 13 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes, my last non maternity pants are way too uncomfortable and small
Sleep: Pretty good, especially the nights I didn't have to get up to pee
Best moment of this week: Not peeing every night (can you tell how happy that makes me?)

What I miss: Being able to have Bria crawl all over me without it hurting
What I am looking forward to: Getting the nursery set up
