20 weeks

Holy cow, I am halfway to my due date!
This week has been amazingly awesome in almost every way. I feel really good and we had our big u/s which was of course the highlight of our day/week/month!
I had a feeling this little baby was breech and the u/s confirmed that, little stinker ;) I know there is plenty of time for her to move but I can't help worrying and praying she'll be head down soon and stay that way until delivery. She is crazy active and watching her was so much fun. She sucked her thumb, swung her legs up by her head, played with her feet, kicked hard, and just squirmed all over the place. Sooo different from Bria. Although Bria was a VERY squirmy baby, so maybe that means this little girl will be calm...wishful thinking.
She measured 19 weeks and 2 days I believe so just a few days shy of 19 weeks 6 days which was okay, she was estimated to be about 12 oz. She is also estimated to be quite the little ham :)
I seriously can't believe we are having another girl! I'm so so giddy, Bria is going to have a sister. Love it.

20 weeks pregnant with Bria

19 week belly

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain: Not sure
Maternity clothes? Still a mix of maternity shirts and normal 2 normal jeans. I'm going to try and make it without buying maternity jeans since we're almost to warm weather.
Sleep: Okay, I've been waking up a lot at night but I'm not sure why
Best moment of this week: Um, the big u/s!!! Seeing our baby and finding out it's a girl and she is healthy!!
Food cravings: Hmm, coffee? I've been getting decaf vanilla lattes often, but I don't seem to have a strong craving for a certain food right now.
What I miss: Only having to pee a few times a day versus 1,038 times.
What I am looking forward to: Planning the nursery and figuring out a name!
Milestones: The big u/s

I'm so incredibly happy right now, I love being pregnant and I love thinking about meeting our little girl. I can't wait to see Bria as a big sister, she is going to be wonderful...and bossy ;)

The big news!

First and foremost the u/s went great, I just love these u/s, I wish we could have them at every appointment. The baby is very healthy, everything looks good and it seems we have an incredibly active baby on our hands.
The perinatologist was super nice and so much fun, she looked around for a little bit and then measured the legs so we got the money shot. Right away Brian said, "That's a girl, isn't it!?" She confirmed, we are having another baby girl!!! Ahhh, we are so incredibly thrilled. We made sure and checked multiple times, but the 3 lines were incredibly obvious. Brian and I were so shocked and surprised which made it even more fun. We got all teary eyed and just couldn't believe we are having another girl. Bria gets to have a little sister! I seriously can't stop smiling, so happy.
This little girl is very very active, like so active that the perinatologist mentioned it multiple times, ha. She would take both her legs and kick them as hard as she could, it had me laughing so hard. Seriously, this little girl is a mover!
She's also a little stinker because she is currently breech and that freaks me out. Logically I know she has plenty of time to move but it still worries me. I kind of knew she was breech because all the movements I feel are down low. Let's hope she turns in time for her arrival into this world.
Speaking of her arrival, we're hoping by then we have a name. We had a boys name all picked out but we are completely stumped when it comes to a girls name. I think we'll wait and tell people the name until she is born too, so that will be a fun surprise :)
Anyway, we have a ton of pictures so I'll have to get them scanned and then post them. Oh my goodness we are so excited, another precious baby girl!!

The big u/s!!

The 20 week u/s is scheduled for TOMORROW at 10 am and we are so thrilled. Praying everything is going well and the baby is healthy and strong, I always get anxious right before this u/s, well I did with Bria anyway. Just hoping our little one is okay in there and cannot wait to find out if we're having a boy or girl, come on money shot!
I'll post the big news tomorrow shortly after :)

19 weeks

I had my appointment on Tuesday and I was so excited to hear the heartbeat and just talk about the baby. 4 weeks between appointments feels so long!
I was surprised that I had only gained 1 pound since my last appointment, especially considering I spent Easter weekend guzzling down candy and rice krispie treats, but it was a very happy surprise.

How far along? 19 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 4 pounds
Maternity clothes? Some maternity shirts and some big flowy tops. I have 2 pairs of jeans that I can wear but it's getting iffy. I really need the weather to get warmer so I can wear flowy skirts and dresses.
Sleep: Lots better, I even went a few nights without getting up to pee!
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat of course, that is such a wonderful sound
Food cravings: Candy and granola bars
What I miss: Still miss wine, and being able to wear all my clothes in my closet
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex!!!
Milestones: Feeling the baby move on the outside, now I just need for Brian to feel it too :)

Brian thought it was amusing to take a picture before I was ready. I did not. Ironically I'm still posting the picture.
The belly at 19 weeks.
I tried to auto enhance the picture above and now I can't undo it, so it looks kind of funky.

Here I am with Bria at 18 weeks

I have been feeling like I am carrying higher with this one and looking at those pictures confirms it, what do you think?

We were suppose to schedule our big u/s but there's been quite some complications. We are going to have it done at a different hospital that has perinatologists that specialize in baby ultra sounds which means they can tell us everything right there, which is awesome. However, trying to get my stuff faxed over there and get them to call me is turning into a long process. I'm hoping by tomorrow it'll be scheduled. Either way it should be late next week since that is when I'll be 20 weeks. I was sooo hoping to have it scheduled by now but oh well.
Physically I am feeling really good, but hormonally I have had some rough days this week. Poor Bria is usually the brunt of it, I'm just not very patient and I don't know why. Today was a better day because we got out of the house and took a long walk, that always helps my mood. We are going camping this weekend so in preparation I went to get our tires rotated since we were due, they told me it would take an hour and 15 minutes so Bria and I walked to the library, got some books, drank some coffee (decaf for me, hot choc for her) and walked back. It was a long walk but it felt good. Anyway, the whole point of my rambling was that I can't imagine trying to do that with two kids. I mean, Bria and I had fun and I wasn't stressed, but I only had her to worry about. I just think 2 kids is going to be challenging for me, hopefully this next baby is incredibly mellow and goes with the flow :)
I sure do love being pregnant though, feeling my little one squirm in there is such a magical feeling and I love knowing that my body is caring for our little one.

18 weeks

Almost halfway there, wow! This week I can definitely say with confidence that I have felt the baby move. It's such a funny little flutter, especially because the last time I remember feeling a baby kick it was a 7 pound baby kicking and stretching :) Every time I feel the baby move I stop what I'm doing and barely breath, I want to catch every little kick. I love it.
I'm feeling pretty good this week, especially considering we moved. I didn't lift anything too heavy but still, being on my feet all day long was a little tiring. My back didn't hurt though, just my feet.

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Yeah, still haven't weighed myself, I'm scared too. But I have an appointment next Tuesday so I'll know then, whether I want to or not.
Maternity clothes? Some maternity shirts and I'm getting close to buying a pair of maternity pants
Sleep: Not so good
Best moment this week: Feeling tiny flutters each day, I just love it
Food cravings: Chips-Ruffles' Molten Hot Wings, sooooooo good.
What I miss: Wine, wine, and wine! I'm not an alcoholic, I just love red wine.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the sex!!!
Milestones: Feeling the baby move and being asked when I was due, I'm showing very obviously.

I took a self portrait belly picture which was hard, next week I'll remember to have Brian take it.

That white thing is my bella band, loves it. Thanks Lanie! I shouldn't have chosen the wall as my background since my skin matches it.

I'm not sleeping all that well and I'm not sure if it's because of the move and being in a new house or what, but I fear it's going to be awhile before I get a good nights' rest. Why you ask? Well:
1. Bria is still adjusting to the new house
2. Once she is good and adjusted we are going to put her in a big girl bed
3. By the time she adjusts to the big girl bed I'm sure my pregnancy insomnia will settle in
4. I will have a newborn and toddler (enough said)

So those are my theories as to why I will not get really good sleep for a long time. Let's hope I'm wrong though.
I've been thinking about how it's going to be having 2 kids. Although I am very scared about how chaotic it will be and how leaving the house will take hours and how I'll be stressed and barely sleep, I still think it will be really fun. I am looking forward to Bria being a big sister and entertaining her little brother/sister, whilst also entertaining herself. She loves to help and I know she'll be a big help for me. I get excited thinking about having a little baby again and hopefully being more relaxed this time. I hear the second time around is a little easier since you've already done it, although there is a toddler to take care of too. But I just want to try and relax this time around and really enjoy it.

17 weeks

This week has been pretty good, better than week 16 for sure. My headaches have subsided as well as the nausea and I am so grateful for that.
Nothing really new to report since we've been busy with packing. I'm excited that we're moving so I can eventually get the nursery all set up, I really love that part :)

17 weeks pregnant
I can't believe I'm posting this picture because ew. It was 10:30 pm and we were getting ready for bed when I remembered we needed to take a picture. So yeah, I look extra big and thick and soft and tired. And the white part is my tank top, not my bra :)

17 weeks pregnant with Bria

16 weeks

This week will be known as barf week. Why? Well, because, I felt barfy and I barfed. Tuesday morning I woke up and immediately went to the bathroom where I threw up all the extra buttery popcorn I had eaten the night before. It was gross, and I will not be eating popcorn any time soon. I spent the rest of the day in bed while Brian (aka Superman) took care of Bria and worked from home. So he worked 2 jobs, at the same time.
I actually thought maybe I had the flu because the body aches were just as bad as the nausea. Every part of my body hurt, including my fingers and toes. My hips were killing me so finding a comfortable position to lay in was impossible. Since we don't know anyone who has been sick, and both Brian and Bria are okay (crossing fingers they stay that way), we are concluding it's just pregnancy sickness, back with a vengeance.
Yesterday I didn't throw up but still felt pretty nauseous, although the body aches were gone. Today I think I feel a little better than yesterday, just queasy.
Other than the past few days, this week went well, pretty uneventful. I thought I felt the baby move yesterday, but I'm not sure. According to the doctor I still shouldn't feel it for another week or 2, and that's taking into consideration this is my second pregnancy. It could've been a few muscle twitches I guess.

How far along?
16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1 pound (since I haven't eaten much in the last few days)
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I'm getting close to wearing maternity shirts
Sleep: Pretty good (minus the body aches on Monday night)
Best moment this week: Getting one week closer to finding out the sex!
Food cravings: Cereal, green olives
What I miss: Wine and sleeping on my back
What I am looking forward to: Feeling the baby move :)
Milestones: He or she is about the size of a large pear

I don't have a belly picture because I look like donkey poo and didn't want to expose you all to my grossness. But I'll have one next week, I've been good about belly pictures with this pregnancy and I plan on keeping it up!
