Unbelievable Exhaustion

6 weeks 4 days

I cannot believe how tired I am. I want to sleep ALL THE TIME. Today has been one of those days where I have tried to take cat naps on the couch while Bria reads and plays. I feel horrible but I cannot keep my eyes open. Whew, growing a baby is exhausting!
I've also started to feel nauseous at times. It's not all day which is nice. Oddly enough it's usually like 1/2 hour to an hour after I eat.
We have officially told our whole family (Kayla was going to tell Lance the next time she talked to him) and it's safe to say everyone is pretty excited. I think they were getting worried we wouldn't have more because I was so stressed with one, but even though I get stressed I realize Bria is too cute not to have another one ;)
My goal is to start doing weekly updates, so I'll do that on Thursday when I become 7 weeks. I also want to be better about belly pictures this time around, which may mean I'm not in the same outfit every time but that's okay, at least I can snap a picture real quick.
Okay, I'm so tired and it's time to take naps in this house. Can't wait to get some energy back.

Spilling the beans

5 weeks 3 days

I picked up this cute little shirt at Old Navy for Bria so she could tell the family about our big news:

I added the, "Gonna be a," with tape, in person you actually can't tell it's taped on but it's pretty obvious in the picture. Anyway, this is how we told Grammy on Friday night and oh my goodness it was hilarious and wonderful. Heather caught it on camera so I'll have to get that from her and post it, it's the best video ever. It took Grammy awhile to notice, Heather finally had to say, "Bria, show Grammy your shirt." There were tears and lots of happiness, so exciting!
On her way to Heather's to tell Grammy the big news.

We are planning on telling my family this weekend and I'm pretty excited, I think they will be really happy :)

So far I still have no symptoms at all. I think I found an OBGYN group to go to so I need to give them a call and schedule the first appointment. I really want to see this little baby and hear the heartbeat!

It's real!

4 weeks 3 days

Everyday that goes by I get more and more excited and fall more and more in love with this little baby. It is amazing that I already love this little one inside me and the heart hasn't even started beating yet (usually happens at 5 weeks I think).
Being pregnant with Bria was so incredibly joyous, I loved every second. But it took forever, I just wanted to meet the little baby growing inside me! Everyone said to enjoy this time because it goes fast, I didn't believe them because it felt like it was going by so slowly. Now that I know they are right, I am enjoying this part and trying not to wish for the future. Although I'd be lying if I said I can't wait to have a little belly (not so much the 8 and 9 month ginormous belly ;) and feel this baby moving around inside me. Feeling them kick and squirm is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant, second is my big boobs...still waiting for those to kick in.

With Bria I had a feeling right away that it was a girl, but I was scared to say anything for fear I'd be wrong. This time, I don't care if I'm wrong I want to say what my hunch is. Before I share that I have to say that before Brian and I got pregnant with #2 I was convinced we were going to have another girl, I could seriously picture it. The night we found out I was pregnant I remember sitting at the computer and just thinking, "It's a boy." So, I think it's a little boy and I am thrilled to think of Bria having a little brother. I absolutely adore my brother and get excited thinking about the relationship that Bria would have with her little brother. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's a girl, either way I honestly don't care. I know that is what everyone says but I truly mean it. I am genuinely just praying for a healthy and happy baby...and maybe a good sleeper too :)

Here we go again!

We found out January 13th (yesterday) that we are expecting!!!
Taken with my cell phone so it's pretty blurry

It is very surreal and I don't think it's completely sunk it yet, I mean, we're gonna have another baby?!! Very exciting stuff.

I took a test last night and handed it to Brian so that he could be the one to find out first this time. When I came out of the bathroom he shook his head sadly and said, "Nope." I remember feeling shocked and sad, I really thought I was pregnant. I took the test and looked at it, then started to laugh. It was faint, but there was a positive sign! Brian said he thought he saw that but assumed it had to be dark. I think Brian was still in disbelief for a little bit but finally while we were watching tv after putting Bria to bed, he said, "We're gonna have another baby!"

This morning I took another one and the line was much more obvious. I've been walking around on cloud 9 today just so giddy about being pregnant.
Last night when I was reading to Bria I got sad thinking I won't be able to spend as much one-on-one time with her and then I remembered what my sister told me: "The best gift you can give your child is a sibling." It is so true...although growing up I may not have always felt that way ;) But seriously, I do believe that and I look forward to Bria developing into her role as the big sister and building a relationship with her younger sister or brother.

My tentative due date is September 22nd, so I get to be a whale all summer long ;) I am excited to have a September baby!
